A breath caught in her chest as he leaned in; her heartbeat skipped as his breath and skin at her ear whispered words that did not seem to sync up with what was happening in the moment. When she did finally exhale, it was shuddered, providing the bared parts of Phonos' neck with a brief sensation of warmth and cool.
